Great Experience in Itaipu
We had a wonderful trip to the Itaipu Dam and to the biological refuge! We highly recommend doing both, as the refuge was a great way to get to know the local wildlife. Everything went smoothly, as we were picked up and taken to each tour with very flexible timing (despite the first tour running very long). A great supplement to seeing the waterfalls.
Interesting contrast between nature and human accomplishments.
Our guide provided us with the opportunity to redo the biological refuge portion of the trip due to the heavy rain. She was very informative about the things we saw and local history. The dam is awesome to see.
