Your tour begins with pick up from hotels in central Istanbul or the Istanbul Cruise Pier.
Head into the old city to visit the Hagia Sophia, a soaring World Heritage-listed 1,400-year-old Byzantine architectural masterpiece with intricate mosaics, relics, and iron work.
Continue into the Basilica Cistern, a subterranean water storage system built in 532 AD during the Byzantine era. It is the largest of several hundred cisterns beneath the city, and it contains 336 columns — many salvaged from old temple ruins.
Next, visit the Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Mosque - Camii), which dates to the early 1600s. The mosque features hand-dyed blue, green and white Iznik tiles, a tall central dome, and 260 windows.
Finally stop into one of the largest and oldest covered markets in the world, the Grand Bazaar (Kapali Carsi), first opened in 1461. The market includes more than 1,200 shops and 58 covered alleyways, with stalls that sell leather goods, jewelry, tea, spices, fabrics, and more.
Your tour ends with drop-off at your hotel or the cruise ship dock.
