Description

Highlands Rewilding Tour
Departing Inverness at 08:00, follow the Caledonian Canal to Loch Ness, famed for “Nessie.” Stop at Clansman Harbour for an optional loch cruise with views of Urquhart Castle and onboard sonar to spot the monster.

Next, visit Plodda Falls, a stunning cascade surrounded by rewilded woodland. Continue to the Dundreggan Estate, a rewilding site with over 4,000 species. Enjoy lunch at the café and take a guided walk (included) through moorland, streams, and planting areas. Sturdy footwear is recommended for this moderate hike.

Stop at the dramatic Falls of Foyers and walk through rewilded woodland. Keep an eye out for red squirrels! Finally, visit Dores Beach on Loch Ness’s northern shore to admire tranquil views and learn about ongoing rewilding efforts. Return to Inverness by 6 pm after a day of nature, education, and adventure.

Where is the departure point?

Your tour from Inverness departs at 08:15 hrs from Railway Terrace, Inverness. Check-in opens 15 minutes prior to the stated departure time and closes 5 minutes prior to the stated departure time.

We recommend that all passengers arrive in this window as tours must depart on schedule.

This tour includes entry to Trees for Life Centre and your guided walk.

The price of your one-day tour from Inverness includes the services of a friendly, knowledgeable, experienced driver-guide, and transportation on one of our luxury, modern, air-conditioned coaches.

Other optional extras - loch cruises, food and drinks, etc - are not included in the price of your tour. This is to allow our guests the freedom to choose which optional extras they would like to take part in on the day.

Rates for your optional extras (From April 2024) are as follows: Loch Ness Cruise: Adult: £20, Concession: £18, Child: £13.

All the optional extras can be booked on the day and your driver-guide will advise you how to book. We negotiate discounted rates for you, ensuring you'll always get a great deal at Scotland's top visitor attractions.

What should I bring with me?

As we like to give you as much time off the coach as possible with the opportunity for walks, we recommend you bring warm and/or waterproof clothing, wear comfortable walking shoes and take sunblock or a hat for sunny days.

Don't forget your camera to capture all the lovely scenery and wildlife you'll meet on your tour!

Since we cannot allow hot food on our buses you could also bring a cold packed lunch with you to make the most of your time at each stop, this would be particularly timesaving in the busier months!
