Into the wild lives of Bardiya National Park is an extraordinary journey to the heart of the habitats of abundant wild lives to explore the nature and its beautiful wild lives. Bardiya National Park is the largest and undisturbed protected area in Nepal's Terai.
About 70% of the park is covered with the forests and different vegetation. 839 species of flora, including 173 vascular plant species have been recorded. The vast grassland and the wide ranges of vegetation give the excellent habitat for 642 species of faunas. In the Karnali-Babai river and the tributaries has home for 125 species of different fishes, and many species of gharials, mugger crocodiles, 23 reptiles and amphibian species. The Bardiya National Park is also home to at least 53 mammals including rhinoceros, wild elephants, Bengal tigers, swamp deers and Gangetic Dolphins. Similarly, more than 407 species of various birds have been recorded.
