Once inside the cockpit, your expert pilot will take you on a heart-pounding solo adventure across the stunning waters of Lake Wakatipu. The shark boat speeds along the surface, dives below, and then launches into the air in dramatic breaches that can reach up to 5 meters high. With tight turns, 360-degree rolls, and deep dives, the experience is like a rollercoaster on water – all while safely enclosed inside your personal shark machine.

Know Before You Book
- Bookings are essential, especially during peak seasons (Dec–Feb)
- Each ride is for one passenger only; groups can book multiple rides
- Weight limit applies (generally around 105–115kg depending on pilot discretion)
- You must arrive at least 15 minutes before your scheduled ride time
- Riders will be asked to sign a safety waiver
- GoPro video footage may be available to purchase after the ride
- Not suitable for those with claustrophobia or motion sickness
- Minimum age is 6 years old, and children must meet minimum height of 1.2m
- Not recommended for guests with neck, back, or heart conditions, or for pregnant individuals
- Wear comfortable clothing; sunglasses and hats should be removed before entering the vessel
- You’ll remain dry inside the cockpit, but personal items cannot be taken onboard
- Ride duration is approx. 15 minutes, but allow 30–45 minutes total including check-in and briefing
- Rides operate in most weather conditions, but high winds or rough lake conditions may result in rescheduling
