Horse Trekking In Terelj National Park

Day 1 Terelj National Park:

Pick up from the hotel in the morning and drive towards Terelj National Park located 70km north of Ulaanbaatar city. The National Park is favorite destination both among the Mongolian and foreign tourists due to its attractive nature. Reach the nomadic family before lunch and prepare for the horse trip. The ride will take you along the mountainous and unpopulated areas of the National Park (5-7 hours). Enjoy a picnic lunch in the wilderness and resume the ride that will be around 30-40km. Return to a ger camp before the evening cold for overnight stay in the evening (L/D)

 Day 2 Ulaanbaatar: Enjoy the day with the family, learning from their lifestyle such as making the traditional Mongolian cuisine together and riding a Mongolian horse. Drive back to Ulaanbaatar. Transfer to the hotel. (B/L)

Terelj National Park sets in a spectacular valley that is only an hour drive from Ulaanbaatar. Visitors can view fascinating rock formations on a backdrop of pine-covered mountains and wander along the wooded banks of mountain stream. Guests can stay overnight in a comfortable Mongolian Ger (traditional Mongol dwelling) or in cozy guest rooms. It is an ideal place for taking a trip on a horse along the banks of river Tuul or the valley and for visiting local cattle breeding family.
