Hong Islands Snorkeling Sunset Cruise

The tour was disappointing from start to finish. Pick-up was 1h30 late and every time we called they repeated “10 more minutes”, offering no apology when they finally arrived. The “long-tail boat” wasn’t even real: it was an old boat without the iconic tail, unlike all the others. It was also overcrowded with around 35 people, making it uncomfortable and unsafe. At Hong Lagoon we barely stopped—just enough for a quick photo before being rushed away. Snorkelling was chaotic and extremely short because getting people on and off the packed boat took most of the time. The guide gave no explanations, spent the trip on his phone or sleeping, and the driver behaved unprofessionally by inviting a few “pretty girls” to a better, upper area of the boat—an opportunity no one else was offered. Overall, poorly organised, rushed, unsafe, and not worth the money.
