Join us to visit Hondarribia, a fishing town located northeast of Guipúzcoa. The colorful facades of San Nicolás street
will greet us during our walk through the town, and in its historic center we
will be able to cross the Gate of Santa María and pose next to the
well-known “hatxero”. Do you know what it represents? In addition, we will
get to know the Town Hall, the Casadevante Palace and the Zuloaga Palace.
We will hit the road to reach San Juan, which will welcome us at the foot of
Mount Jaizkibel. We will stroll between the old pier and the fishermen's
houses that hang from the mountains, and we will know some of the palaces
and churches that fill this historic town. In addition, we will have the
opportunity to visit a typical 17th century house with direct access to the
bay. Victor Hugo stayed here in 1843!
In San Juan we will board a fishing boat to cross the bay to San Pedro, a town
where we can continue to get to know the fishing tradition of the Basque
Country.
