Holy Gosainkunda Lake Tour

Gosaikunda is an alpine freshwater oligotrophic lake in Nepal's Langtang National Park, located at an altitude of 4,380 m (14,370 ft) in the Rasuwa District. The Gosaikunda Lake has been designated a wetland site on 29 September 2007. The main attraction of this trek is an exotic 108 glacier lakes, small to medium in size that is scattered around the Gosaikunda region surrounded by Himalayas range, delightful forest, beautiful scenario and lush wild nature. The fascinating beauty along with the traditional civilization of Tamang people and their culture and values, cheese business and abundant wildlife make Gosaikunda a famous tourist destination. Every August as many as 50,000 pilgrims crowded into the area for a festival by the lake that fingers prominently in Hindu mythology. There are several legends all similar, concerning the formation of this lake and its significance. The fantastic view from Loribinayak Manaslu, Ganesh Himal and Langtang range are picturesque.
