Free Admission to What? The sidewalk?
We booked the tour because we were given the false impression that we would be actually going into different haunted places. All through the itinerary that I read before booking AND after booking, showed “free admission” into various places. Here’s what we got instead: Ghost stories standing before different places and an inaccurate account of what happened and why. Read Issac’s Storm and one might learn what’s true. Anyway, their description led us to believe that our tour was going to be something much more than ghost stories told on the street here and there. So falsely advertised that we left after a few stops when realizing we were not experiencing what was expected. I speak for a party of 4. We all felt the same. It was awful. I gave them a horrible review on TripAdvisor and they came back at me and basically called me a liar. They said the never spoke about “free admission” anywhere and that is just so untrue. I have taken a screenshot of our itinerary in case they go in and try to change their wording, and I have my e-mail with the itinerary. I have used Viator before by myself or with friends booking, and I have never had a problem such as this. Terrible.
Great Night
This tour was excellent. Jeff was very knowledgeable and give us a great tour of Galveston. He gave us all the historical notes and showed us to some great bars. I highly recommend this tour and you should ask for Jeff.
Tour was fine, not very spooky.
Tour was fine, I can’t say it was spookie - covered the Hurricane, Industrial Explosion and a couple murders but was not very ghost oriented.
Who you gonna call?
Although I wore the wrong shoes, since I had just come from an upscale dinner, the walking tour had enough stops for stories, and went at a gentle pace. Host Jeff was informative and knowledgeable about the history and lore that he shared with the group of 25. I'm glad I went!
We were Ghosted…
The description gave me the impression that we were going to go into different places. I guess the “free admission” was standing on the sidewalk in front of the buildings. It was nothing like I imagined. It was just story time. We left the group after 1/2 hour and returned to our condo.
