Hiking through the valley of the waterfalls

Adventure through the Valley of the Cascades and the Santo Domingo River Canyon

Activity of moderate difficulty, suitable for people who are new to the world of hiking.

Venture to three days of mountains, puddles and waterfalls between the municipalities of Cocorná and El Carmen de Viboral.

A trekking for those who enjoy immense mountains, crystalline rivers, waterfalls adorning great walls, peasant culture, clean air and much more.

You will swim in the most beautiful pools and waterfalls.

Day 1: Difficulty 3 / Duration 6 hours.

We will hike along the Santo Domingo river and bathe in its various natural pools.

We will continue towards the Valley of the Cascades where we will enter the Las Alfombras y la Esmeralda waterfall to enjoy its imposing beauty.

There, near the waterfall we will have our accommodation.

Day 2: Difficulty: 3 / Duration: 6 hours

We will hike along the Santo Domingo river towards the El Charcón natural pool.

There we will swim and jump into the water floating with life jackets and descend a short distance from the river.

Later we will return by the same path of the previous day and we will take our transport back.

You will find the most beautiful and quiet mountains and rivers far from the city. There is no mass tourism. The people who receive us in their homes, are peasants who have been living in these areas for generations and preserve their customs
