Hiking near the capital. Ascent to Mount Gutanasar

Your guide will meet you at your hotel from where your vehicle will take you to the village of Kaputan, where the adventurous hiking to Gutanasar Mountain will start. Gutanasar is an extinct volcano of the Geghama Range. The lava flow traces are still visible from the left slope of the mount. The summit of the mountain, at a height of 2,299 meters, grants a magnificent view of the Geghama range, the fertile plain of Ararat with the biblical mountain of the same name. As you walk, the vibrant landscapes on your way will draw your attention. Your hike will end as you descend to the village of Fantan, where your vehicle will be waiting for you to take you back to Yerevan.
