Summary

Meet your driver and guide in downtown La Fortuna in the morning, and travel in an air-conditioned minivan to the hanging bridges circuit trail. Here, walk along a series of six suspension bridges and nine fixed walkways that criss-cross different levels of the magnificent rain forest. The 1.9-mile (3.1-km) trail is mostly flat, so it’s suitable for most ability levels. Along the way, look out for native wildlife and stop to appreciate the lush vegetation. Hop back in the van and head next to the beautiful La Fortuna Waterfall. A short hike leads from the trailhead to the gorgeous cascade, where you can swim in natural pools at the base or simply soak up the surrounding beauty. After departing this tropical paradise, reward your efforts with a typical Costa Rican lunch at a local restaurant. Your tour concludes back in downtown La Fortuna in the afternoon.
