The six main activities you will enjoy include:  1. Limon City Excursion  See the main sights on Puerto Limon, where Christopher Columbus landed in 1502. Still a large shipping port, the city now receives many cruise ships. Pass the city's old quarter with a combination of historical and buildings under renovation. View Parque Vargas, the market and more.  2. Rain Forest  Visit Cahuita National Park for a up-close encounter with nature. The park has flat and easy walking trails with abundant wildlife such as monkeys, sloths, toucans and coatis. The trail is about 3/4 mile long and takes about 45 minutes at a slow pace. This is a great option for seniors, children or anyone who wants to take it easy. There is no mud or slippery paths. 3. Visit a Viewpoint of the city 4. Coastal Scenic Drive  See some beautiful scenery on the way to next stop.  5. Tortuguero Canal - river boat ride  The Tortuguero Canal area is known as the Amazon of Costa Rica because of its lush flora and fauna. Your naturalist guide will help you onboard a boat to cruise along the Costa Rica Tortuguero Canal that winds through the rain forest - watch for sloths, monkeys, tropical birds, iguanas, wild orchids and much more! There is so much to see and photograph. Your guide will be giving you information along the way. River cruise is approximately 60 minutes.  6. Short city tour
