- Dogs are allowed at the Herculaneum Archaeological Park without breed or size restrictions, however they must be kept on a leash or muzzle and it is mandatory to have bags to collect any droppings. For reasons of logistics and conservation, within the Antiquarium premises, the Boat Pavilion, and the domus featuring mosaic floors, access is permitted only to dogs that are carried in arms or transported in an appropriate carrier.

Brilliant
Truly excellent and not to be missed tour. Lucerne was informative, engaging, passionate and funny. Learnt so much. Pace of tour was good. We had booked this tour through another provider weeks in advance only to have it cancelled late afternoon the day before. Luckily for us we managed to secure a late booking with Askos instead. Highly recommend and good value for money
Great tour, wonderful guide
What s great experience. Site is very different to Pompeii, and was really brought to life by our wonderful guide, Luciano Leone. Luciano was great - had a terrific sense if humour and great knowledge, which he shared in a fun and passionate way. Would definitely recommend the tour and Luciano as a guide - great experience.
Very interesting and informative
Our guide Roberta was very knowledgeable and Herculaneum is a fascinating place to visit. The provided wireless ear piece meant we missed nothing. The tour took about two hours. Strongly recommended.

We had an excellent tour by the archaeologist Diego. His knowledge and tales were amazing. Highly recommend!
Herculaneum
Rather underwhelming having visited Pompeii previously. One gentleman and my wife had faulty ear pieces, and on asking the guide to fix them were embarrassed by the guide in front of the whole group. Firstly, all equipment should be in working order, and secondly, your guides should certainly not take things out on the visiting participants. Apart from that, the guide was very knowledgeable and we did learn much from him.
