Expert tour of Herculaneum by Roberta
We only had a couple of hours dedicated to Herculaneum and we decided to book a guide to make the most out of our visit. It’s safe to say our goal was reached and then some! Roberta was a fantastic guide. In addition to showing us the most significant locations on the site, she managed to weave the narrative brilliantly of what Herculaneum was, what happened to it and the history of all the archeological work done on the site. She answered all our questions and curiosities. Our visit would have been a significantly lesser experience without her guidance and we are very grateful for it!

Roberta tried very hard and also knew a lot, but unfortunately, a lot of things were constantly repeated. We already had good prior knowledge, but she couldn't adapt the tour to that. More suitable as an introductory tour.
Go visit Herculaneum!
Take lots of water, wear comfortable shoes! The history and sights in Herculaneum were amazing. To think about what those people went through is heartbreaking. They were leading such rich lives.
