Hawkes Bay Wineries Self-Guided Bike Tour

This self-guided bike tour takes you into the heart of the Hawke's Bay wine region of New Zealand’s North Island, just 8 miles (14 km) from Hastings. Pick up your bike rental, helmet and winery map at a base next to Ash Ridge Wines before you set off on your ride.

The Hawke's Bay Trails include 12 miles (20 km) of flat terrain, comfortably covered in 4 to 6 hours while you ride at a leisurely pace and stop for wine tastings (own expense) along the way. You’ll discover some of the finest wines from the Bridge Pa Triangle and Gimblett Gravels wine districts, including Sileni Estate, Alpha Domus, Abbey Cellars, Ngatarawa Estate, Trinity Hill and Te Awa.

Vehicle roadside assistance is on hand for support and to carry any wine that you purchase so you can relax as you cycle through the surrounding countryside.

Visit the wineries of Hawke’s Bay at your own pace on this self-guided bike tour. Collect your bike and spin through the vineyards along the Hawke’s Bay wine route at your leisure. Follow the map provided or simply take your pick of the wineries you find. Visit wineries such as  Abbey Cellars, Alpha Domus, the Ngatarawa Estate, the Sileni Estate, Te Awa, or Trinity Hill (own expense), and perhaps sample some of the diverse wines in production. This independent cycling tour includes all equipment and roadside support.
