A great tour for muggles and magic folk
I think this was one of the highlights of our trip to London! Our guide Murray was really excellent! Thanks so much. I was on a trip to London with my 20 year old daughter and just had a few days. We both love Harry Potter and it was so interesting to see the beautiful sights and architecture around the city. Murray was informative, very enthusiastic and knowledgeable. Not just about Harry Potter specifically but pointing out some very interesting landmarks. Highly recommend this, a superb value.
Meh....
Interesting but not as advertised. I have taken dozens of walking tours across the globe and this one was just OK. Couple of things that threw us off: the guide met us at the front of the church, not the back as mentioned on the ticket, and he was not holding a blue flag. If I hadn't walked up to a stranger with an iPad I would have missed the tour. There are zero reenactments as stated in the info and some of the quizzes the guide got wrong. I could tell he wasn't a Harry Potter fan. The thing that really bothered me is he wasn't concerned with our safety crossing the streets. I was nearly hit by a driver as I crossed the street following him (there were only 4 of us in the tour). I have been on other tours where the guide faces the street to ensure each traveler makes it across safely. The other issue is they don't mention anywhere that you take the Underground. If I'm on a tour, I need to know if there will be an additional expense. I have no problem with that, but need to know up front. A couple with us who didn't speak English well, had a hard time entering and exiting the Underground and our guide was no help. The sites on the tour were OK, but I didn't see Kings Cross Station or Picadilly Square which I felt were more iconic then the sites we did see.

We had a great tour guide...
We had a great tour guide called Louis, and the tour ended up being just 2 of us because no one else booked that time slot! Louis was so kind and told us interesting facts about Harry Potter and London in general. It was so fun watching the movie clips on the iPad as he showed us each spot around the city. He went out of his way to show us places he mentioned the tour, too. We would definitely do this again!
