⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐⭐ 10/10 and If I could give more than 5 stars, I would :) If you’re a foreigner or a tourist looking for a tour guide in Hanoi, BOOK WITH HAI..Seriously, you will not regret it. As someone visiting Vietnam for the first time from Washington, this was my first tour experience EVER, so I honestly didn’t know what to expect. But WOW… Hai completely exceeded my expectations and gave me an experience I’ll never forget. I was only in Hanoi for 2 days, and my first day being started with this tour, I realized halfway though it that I probably wouldn’t have been able to see, experience, or learn about so many places if it weren’t for Hai. In such a short amount of time, he showed me so much of Hanoi that by the end, I felt like I had already seen a huge part of the city. One of the things I appreciated most about Hai is how genuine, friendly, patient, and approachable he is. He makes it so easy and comfortable to talk, ask questions, and just be yourself. He was always checking in to make sure I was okay, asking if I needed anything or wanted a break or refreshments, and if I needed something, he would make sure I was taken care of. He even bought us drinks along the way and continued checking if I needed anything during the ride.Those little things really showed me how much he genuinely cares about his guests. And let me tell you… the tour was NEVER boring 😅😂 Hai is seriously one of the funniest people! He has such a great sense of humor, and there was so much laughing throughout the entire experience. The ride and the tour felt so comfortable and fun because it wasn’t just someone taking me from one place to another..it felt like I was exploring Hanoi with someone who genuinely wanted me to have a great time. But beyond being funny and friendly, Hai really knows his stuff. He is incredibly knowledgeable about Hanoi and its history. While riding around, he explained the history behind different places, including stories going all the way back to wartime and much further into the past. What I loved was that he didn’t make it feel like I was sitting through a boring history lecture. He explained things in a simple, interesting, and easy to understand way, while still giving so much information. The things he taught me are definitely things I’ll be able to take home, talk about, and share with my family and friends. I also really trusted Hai’s recommendations. He was honest about which places were worth visiting, what to avoid, where to eat, where to get good coffee, which streets to check out, the best times to visit certain places, and so much more. He wasn’t just trying to take me to the typical tourist spots he genuinely wanted me to experience Hanoi. And that is probably one of my favorite things about this tour. Hai showed me the real Hanoi. Not just the pretty, picture-perfect tourist side, but the authentic local side too. I got to see and experience parts of Hanoi that I probably would have completely missed on my own. It made the experience feel much more genuine and memorable. Hai was also very respectful of my time. After we arrived at different stops, he would patiently let me walk around, take pictures, explore, and enjoy the place without making me feel rushed. We would simply agree on a meeting point and time, and then continue to the next stop. He was patient, organized, and made the whole day feel easy. Most importantly, I felt safe and comfortable with him. He was always aware of my surroundings and made sure I was okay, which meant a lot to me as a foreigner experiencing Hanoi for the first time. I genuinely feel lucky that I booked with Hai. I came to Hanoi not knowing what to expect, and I ended up having one of the best experiences of my entire trip because of him. I honestly don’t think I would have seen, learned, or experienced as much as I did in such a short amount of time without Hai. So if you’re visiting Hanoi for the first time, especially if you’re a foreigner and don’t know where to start, trust Hai. Let him show you around. You’ll get the history, the local experience, the recommendations, the laughs, the beautiful places, and even the parts of Hanoi you might not find on your own. This was my first tour experience anywhere, and honestly… Hai set the bar VERY high 😂 If every tour guide were like him, I’d want to book tours everywhere I travel. Thank you so much, Hai, for making my first experience in Hanoi so incredible! I’m leaving with so many memories, stories, laughs, pictures, and things I learned that I’ll be taking home with me. 10/10 doesn’t even feel like enough. If there were a 6 star rating, I’d give it. I’m so glad I decided to go on this tour and was fortunate enough to have Hai as our tour guide and Mr. Lucky as our driver. From the very beginning, Hai went above and beyond to make sure I felt comfortable. Before starting the tour, he made sure to ask if I had any questions or concerns not only about the places we were visiting but about anything in general. That level of care made the experience more enjoyable. Hai did an amazing job explaining the history and significance behind every stop, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex and the president’s contribution to Vietnam. I also learned so much while visiting Vietnam’s first university. It was interesting to learn about how the educational system and its structure were conducted back then. I enjoyed the entire experience, including the rides between each destination, where Hai continued to share interesting background information and stories. I visited many fascinating and surprisingly amazing places. My first experience in Hanoi has been wonderful, and this tour was a big part of that. I HIGHLY RECOMMEND HAI as your tour guide.
