Full description
Your tour departs from Fisherman's Wharf at midday and we head north, crossing San Francisco’s most iconic landmark - the Golden Gate Bridge. Take in the breathtaking views of the San Francisco skyline and Alcatraz Island while riding across the 1.7-mile span of the bridge. The tour continues through the charming seaside town of Sausalito and then passes through Marin County into the world famous wine regions Sonoma Valley and Napa Valley.
Enjoy the drive through the beautiful scenery with magnificent vineyards along the way, and visit two highly regarded wineries for delicious wine tastings and an exclusive estate tour. A wine expert will introduce the fermentation process, barrel aging, and bottling, and you will be able to taste some of the best wines yourself.
Towards the end of the day, enjoy the scenic drive back to San Francisco, crossing the Golden Gate Bridge once more as the sun slowly starts to set into the Pacific Ocean!

This was a great way to see my evening in San Francisco. The trip to treasure island was well worth it. the driver was fun and engaging and really went above and beyond.
I remember taking a wine tour with Tower in 1992-4 approx., and the excursion focused on Beaulieu Vineyard, which is industrial although interesting in its own way. The two wineries visited on Saturday were on a much more intimate scale: the Dali artworks at the second establishment were fun. Would it have been possible to squeeze in a third venue? Still, I was glad to have time for tasting and purchasing. I needed an out-of-town outing after a difficult conference and this excursion filled the bill. The driver was charming although I'm not sure the tourists on the bus (predominantly from abroad) tipped him (I made sure to). Not sure what your policy is on that subject. So all in all I was pleased with my afternoon.
