Good Food, Basic Cooking

A good cooking class. Pros: - Good food with a variety of dishes to choose from. Everything we cooked was tasty. - Friendly and relaxed staff. - You chop, you fry, you eat. You fry more, you eat. - Booklet with recipes and note space. - Nice cooking space. - Three classes each day. We recommend the noon or evening class. There's so much food you'll be stuffed. And you eat as the class goes along. We would have preferred this as a late lunch or dinner. - Hotel transfers to/from were great to have. Cons: - Don't deviate from the recipe! I like meat cooked so that it is tender. I wanted to add my chicken in late to the recipe, and the cook (politely) insisted I not. Good to know: - This is a "minimalist" cooking class. I've taken over 20 different Thai cooking classes (all targeting tourists). Some classes have you do everything, from grinding things with a mortar and pestle to make curry pastes, to steaming your own sticky rice. Others do a lot of the prep and more nuanced cooking for you. You do some chopping and stir frying. This is the latter type of class. (In my view, great for a relaxing food event.) In summary: Take a later class and enjoy the food and view. Easy cooking.

Great teachers. Great class

We had the morning session and had a great time. The class is very well organised and all the family could participate. The food was delicious and we have cooked it back at home. We left with lots of delicious leftovers. Our tip. Skip breakfast if you do the AM class. Thanks

Great Thai cooking class

With our first visit to Thailand we were eager to learn more about Thai food and cooking. We were lucky to go on a day where we were on our own. We were able to choose 3 courses to cook. We chose to make papaya salad, massaman curry and mango sticky rice. We really enjoyed the cooking, learning the ingredients and techniques and of course eating the food we had prepared. The school is equipped for big groups and a lot of food prep is done for you and that makes sense, but as there were only two of us, we felt we could have been more involved with that. Of course that also meant our session was shorter than the four hours Its a lovely little school and authentic, the ladies were all friendly and welcoming.

Highly recommended cooking class, simple and easy cooking, with ingredients you can get in supermarket

The venue is very spacious Even though it is a very hot day. Still feel comfortable to cook at this place Food and choice of menu is great Everything was delicious, easy to make The dishes I choose is very common Thai food. But the instructors’ recipe makes a regular dish taste better than usual
