Half Day Small Group Hike to Portovenere with Local Guide

Highlights

  • You will need to have good walking shoes, a backpack, a hat, sunglasses, water, and a light rain jacket if the weather is unstable. We will be hiking up the hillside of Riomaggiore to reach our trail to Portovenere. These views are some of the best in the area. We will stop for photos and talk about the history of Cinque Terre & its surrounding area. There is a lot to learn on our hike and the landscape constantly changes. The ferry ride back to Riomaggiore is also a great way to see just how far you walked.

Why take this tour?

This small-group tour is an intermediate trek with the best views. Different from Cinque Terre Trek, this offers a more challenging trek with a rewarding destination – Portovenere. The pace is yours, so we provide a good time to enjoy yourself. It will take at least 7 hours of trekking to arrive in Portovenere. This is not for people who have vertigo, as the trek does go over some thin areas on the outer trail. After your arrival in Portovenere, the time is yours to swim, have a nice lunch, or just stroll the back allies. You will be given your ticket for the boat ride back to Riomaggiore or Monterosso. If the seas become high and all the boats are canceled. In that case, you will take the bus & train back to Cinque Terre. This trek can be 1 to 10 people, the normal average is 1 to 4 people on this tour.
