In this tour we are visiting two UNESCO world heritage sites which are:
1 . Boudhanath Stupa
This stupa, 8 kilometers east of Kathmandu City, is one of the most important centers of Tibetan Buddhism. In the midst of traditional gompas, and hung with long strings of multi-colored prayer flags, Boudhanath attracts Sherpas, Tibetans and tourists alike for daily circumambulations (koras) of the stupa.
2. Pashupatinath
One of the holiest Hindu temple situated 5 Kilometers east of Kathmandu city on the bank of the sacred Bagmati River. Pashupatinath is the center of annual pilgrimage on the day of Shivaratri which falls in the month of February / March. Behind the temples are the cremation grounds.
