Summary
Meet your guide at San Martin Square in Retiro and set out to explore two of the city’s most affluent neighborhoods—Recoleta and Palermo. Glide around Plaza Francia and Carlos Thays Park, and pause to admire monuments such as the National Arts Museum and the striking Floralis Genérica, a futuristic flower sculpture which ‘blooms’ at sunrise and closes at sunset.
Continue to Palermo and cycle through the vast parklands of the Palermo Woods, passing the Evita Monument, the Spanish Monument, and the Japanese Garden. Stop to stroll around the idyllic Rose Garden, see the Planetarium and Plaza Italia, and take photos.
Finally, visit the Recoleta Cemetery and follow your guide on a 30-minute walking tour of the magnificent tombs, the most famous of which is Evita’s grave.
Your tour ends back at the departure point.
