Muang Kung Village, one of Thailand’s most well-known pottery villages, has been told its history by the ancestors from generation to generations that their ancestors who settled down in this village were Tai people who had been herded from Mong Phu and Mong Hsat in Kengtung, currently is town in Shan State, Burma. The most popular product is the traditional earthenware jug (Nam Ton) as this keeps water naturally cool that has narrow top, bulge middle. You will make 1 product which it takes about 1 ½ -2 hours before taking it home. Finally, we will visit Ton Kwen Temple (Intharawat Temple) that is one of the finest examples of classic Lanna style architecture in Northern Thailand. The complex consists of a viharn, an open pavilion and a large open mondop. The temple is one of the very few remaining wooden temples in its original state in Chiang Mai province.
