Why take this tour?

Get picked up from your hotel and be brought to the departure point (Nearadey cafe). Then go by minibus to the boat station which is 30 km (18.5 mi) south-east of Siem Reap. Visit the pagoda or local market first, then go by motorized boat on a tour of the stilted buildings. See where the people have courageously adapted to some of the most unimaginable conditions. Enjoy the beautiful atmosphere in this one-of-a-kind village from the comfort of the boats. The guide explains the history, culture, and lifestyle of the villagers. The villages are surrounded by mangrove forest. Take an optional side-trip of the flooded forest on a rowing boat, available October to January. This is quite touristy. The motorboat stops at a small floating cafe. Visit Tonle sap to see the sun go down and have a swim (available on afternoon option only).

Siem Reap Shuttle Tours

About operator:

Siem Reap Shuttle (SRS) provides 'join-in' tours and premier private tours of the major sightseeing locations around Siem Reap. SRS DOES NOT PROVIDE INTERCITY BUS SERVICES! SRS uses a range of top quality air-conditioned vehicles and can even provide tours by army jeep. Tours include free hotel transfers. Tour start times can be flexible for private tours. Angkor tours often offer a 4-course breakfast or lunch at Angkors leading restaurant, Sala Russey. 'cowboy' operators often represent themselves as SRS. We rarely sell tours through hotels. Book online to ensure you book SRS. When touring with SRS, please look out for our official Siem Reap Shuttle pre-printed hotel vouchers, our driver uniforms, the SRS logo on our vehicles and our tour start point at SRS depot on Road Krovat Krong (town ring road). If your hotel books a 'cowboy' operator and they say they are Siem Reap Shuttle, please be sure to make a low scoring review for that hotel and not SRS.
