Half-Day Horseback Riding Adventure

San Miguel de Allende is one of Mexico’s most popular towns, but most tourists stick to popular sights within the picturesque colonial-era historic center. During this one-of-kind horseback tour, you’ll escape the crowds and head to the scenic countryside for an adventure-filled excursion across stunning cliffs and grassy fields.

You’ll ride your horse to the edge of Coyote Canyon, where you’ll descend to the winding river of La Virgen. The tour includes riding instructions, so it’s well-suited to both novice and seasoned riders, as well as anyone looking to escape the tourist track. Gallop at your own pace, hop off the saddle to search for geodes, or dip your toes into the river. You can also upgrade to soak your muscles at a nearby hot spring.

From there, you’ll ride your trusty steeds up the canyon to a towering cliff, where you’ll be treated to a spectacular panorama of the surrounding countryside, with the option to rappel off the cliff face. Top off the day with an authentic, ranch-style meal, including homemade tortillas, organic cheese, and local cactus.
