After being picked up from your central Ho Chi Minh City hotel, meet your guide and small group of no more than 10 people, and set out on a thrilling tour of the city on board a traditional cyclo (pedicab).
Immerse yourself in local life as you weave through the streets of downtown Ho Chi Minh City and head right into the heart of Chinatown. Listen as your guide explains a bit of history about the city’s Chinatown, which is the largest of its kind in Vietnam and dates back to the 18th century. Visit the magnificent Lady Thien Hau Temple, built to worship the goddess of the sea.
Admire the vibrant shop fronts, colorful lanterns, and pretty temples as you glide down the maze-like lanes. Along the way, peek into the shops, sample some delicious street food, admire the Cha Tam Church, and gain an insight into the ancient practice of Chinese medicine as you visit a traditional practitioner.
End your tour with a visit to either the Lacquer Ware Factory, to shop for traditional handicrafts, or the lively Binh Tay Market, the largest market in Ho Chi Minh City, where you’ll have time to browse the myriad of stalls, and haggle over clothes, handicrafts, and souvenirs.
After purchasing some unique souvenirs, your driver will drop you back at your hotel.
