Our half-day lesson is a great way to get your surf career started! Our lessons are specifically designed to teach you to surf at your own pace in a relaxed environment to build further self-confidence so you can continue in the sport of surfing and feel confident in the water. You will learn surfing techniques and ocean safety with our qualified surf coaches & surf life savers. All instructors have vast knowledge of the local area and will only conduct lessons in surf conditions in waist deep water with easy and to ride waves in your first lesson.

Why take this tour?
Group lessons with Soul Surf School are a great way to experience surfing some of our world famous breaks in a group setting. We have a number of beaches to chose from in the Byron/Lennox/Ballina area, and our team are dedicated to finding the best, fun and safest waves every day. We run the lowest ratio of instructors to surfers in the area, at 1:7 for adults and from 1:4 for little ones. This ensures that all our surfers receive plenty of attention, individual feedback and all the groms are safe in the water. We have a great range of equipment, with over 80 fun safe soft surfboards and intermediate to advanced boards that will help you to learn faster and catch lots of waves.

Soul Surf School is a Surfing Australia approved surf school based in Byron Bay, NSW Australia. We are centrally located in our beach hire/surf shop on Byron Bays' famous main beach ( 14 Bay St ) All of our surf coaches hold current Surfing Australia coaching accreditation, and all of our management team have a minimum of 10 years surfing experience. Soul Surf School offers programs to complete beginners, intermediate and advanced surfers of any age (minimum 5years). We are the only Byron Bay surf school to have surf school permits to teach personal private lessons & group lessons in both Byron Bay, Lennox Head, Ballina & Tweed Heads shires . We are dedicated to finding the best, fun and safest waves daily and we have over 15 different locations at our fingertips, ready for the ultimate learn to surf experience.
