Why take this tour?

Join me for a half day exploring the flats around Placencia, where we’ll chase tailing Permit, rolling Tarpon, and elusive Bonefish.

Half-day charters can be arranged at short notice.

I’ll plan the best time to start the charter according to the tides, and the pickup locations are arranged based on where you’re staying on the peninsula.

All chartered trips can hold a maxiumum of 2 anglers per boat.

I’ve guided the flats outside Placencia and Hopkins for over 25 years. I learned from the best — my father, Charlie Leslie Sr., one of the first professional fly fishing guides in Belize — and I bring that experience with me every time we head out.

I recommend bringing your own gear.

About operator:

I’m Marlon Leslie, a second-generation saltwater fly fishing guide based in Placencia, Belize. I’ve spent the past two decades exploring every nook and cranny of the flats and barrier reef outside Placencia and Hopkins. I put you on fish all day, every day—multiple shots guaranteed!

My father, Charlie Leslie Sr., was one of Belize’s first professional guides, and he taught me how to read the tides, adapt to moon phases, and poling the flats.

Born and raised in Placencia, I’ve been chasing Bonefish, Permit, and Tarpon since I could hold a rod. That early start gave me a deep appreciation for the sport and a commitment to conservation for future generations.
