Meet a driver at your Queenstown accommodations or in town (depending on the time and season of tour), then transfer to Arrowtown to start the Arrow River Bridges bike route.
You’ll be fitted with a comfortable mountain bike and get detailed instructions for the ride before setting out on a trail that follows the Arrow and Kawarau River gorges. Cross three suspension bridges as you ride, including one that’s famous for bungee jumping—pause to check out the jumpers along the way. Every 3 miles (5 km.), the support vehicle will meet the Arrow River Bridges trail so you can stock up on water or rest your legs. The Arrow River Bridges ride concludes in the Gibbston Valley, called the “valley of the vines” for a landscape of lush, rolling vineyards. Toast the end of your ride with a wine tasting, then return to Queenstown in the support vehicle.
