The visit to Vesuvius starts from Naples, while comfortably seated on a minivan with comfortable shoes and lots of energy, ready to take the climb up to the cone of the sleeping mountain with you. The route first stretch will be by shuttle, to continue on foot with a suggestive 20-minute walk, to finally arrive at an altitude of 1,200m.

Once you reach the summit, all you have to do is keep your eyes open and observe the unique and varied beauty of the landscape, from the Gulf of Naples with the islands of Capri and Ischia to the Sorrento Peninsula. Of course you won't miss to cast your eyes inwards, and observe the still active fumaroles, visible inside the crater of Vesuvius.
