Meeting point at 11am for this 2-hour guided walk in Killarney National Park is oSheas Funeral Home V93 KX 61 opposite St. Marys Cathedral which dates from 1842. Cross the road entering the National Park by the lovely thatched cottage and walk up the hill to Knockreer House, and Dairy Cottage where President Charles De Gaulle of France spent nearly two weeks in June 1969. Just after this a great vista of the lake, and mountains opens where you are likely to see some of our native red deer grazing in the fields.Walk with your local guide who knows all the best places off the beaten path as he was born just a short distance away. Slán go fóill (bye a while).

Enjoyed a personal tour from a traditinal musician, but there is scope for improvement.

It was good hanging out with Thomas. He played Bodhran for me. I got to see a different part of the park and I enjoyed the conversation, but I don't think I learnt much. I think the tour can be improved by adding more information about history, native life, flora, fauna of the area.

Beautiful walk, wonderful park

The walk in the park was very pleasant and interesting, the guide was very kind and friendly, we also took some less traveled internal paths, recommended!

Great Introduction to Killarney National Park

Richard is a great storyteller, wonderful sense of humor, and very knowledgeable about the park and local history. Highly recommend spending a few hours with him.

Lovely easy walking through a gorgeous national forest!

I had an absolutely wonderful walk through the national park! I was the only person but my guide didn’t care and made sure I had a good time! As we walked he told me all about the history of the land and buildings we passed. It was all relatively flat land which made the two hour walk very easy and enjoyable.
