Take a guided tour of the Waccamaw River learning about the local wildlife, trees and plants along the river with a chance to explore a 48 acre private island. Each tour is different and unique since nature is so unpredictable; as well as different times of the year and seasons brings out various wildlife. But we typically see turtles, fish, non-venomous water snakes, squirrels, cranes, herons, kites, egrets, pileated woodpeckers, baby toads, dragon flies and lizards. Other animals that are a possibility but rarely seen include: deer, bald eagle, wild hogs, river otter, muskrat, beaver, alligator and black bear.

We are the only adventure outfitter with an outpost on the Waccamaw River featuring 1 acre of outdoor yard games, hammocks, swings, large fire pit, river front picnic tables and access to a 48 acre private island in the middle of the river for an unforgettable experience of exploring and camping options. Below are some of the adventures we offer: ESCAPE RIVER ISLAND - Teams of 2-3 are taken to a secluded 48 acre private island on the Waccamaw River and must complete Survivor & Escape Room style challenges to unlock their tandem kayaks and paddles. The first team to Escape River Island and paddle back to our outpost wins bragging rights & prizes. Part escape room, part Amazing Race & part Survivor! ISLAND TOUR - Take a kayak or pontoon river boat tour to and around a secluded 48 acre private island. Your guide will point out plants, trees and wildlife many of which are native to the Waccamaw River before heading back to our outpost. RIVER CAMPING - coming soon
