Guided eBike Tour - Killaloe and the Lough Derg Shore

The tour is suitable to all abilities - because I only take groups of up to 6 people, it can be tailored to your interests and abilities. For example, if you're an intrepid explorer and keen cyclist we can spend more time up in the hills and less in the towns. Or if you just want to relax and enjoy food and drink, we can keep the pace nice and easy and spend more time at Wilde Irish Chocolates, and/or the East Clare Community Cooperative. If you want to take it easy and admire the views we can do that too! And for those looking for retail therapy, our panniers will have room for any woollen goods you might want to purchase at McKernan's Woollen Mills.

Included / Excluded

  • Use of bicycle
  • Helmet, Hi Vis, Panniers containing Bike Pump, Puncture Repair Kit and Emergency Rain Jacket
  • There will be a choice of places to stop for coffee/tea/hot chocolate and/or food, however this is not included in the price.
  • There is an additional 10 Euros fee for the (optional) Wilde Irish Chocolates tour. Free shop entry

Guided tour at your pace,...

Guided tour at your pace, a nice way to see the area. Half way through stopped at a coffee shop for revitalization and light shopping. Equipment is top notch guiide friendly and personable , glade we booked the trip !

So much fun!

What a fantastic experience!! Rob is a wonderful guide, this was a great way to explore areas I wouldn't have known to visit, and riding an e-bike is just plain fun.

Beautiful scenic tour

Our guide was very knowledgeable about Killaloe and the historical sites we visited. We had a great time and got to see some lesser known areas that we wouldn't have known about otherwise. I also appreciate how attentive our guide was to our personal comfort using the ebikes and to our safety on the road. He made sure we felt comfortable on the bikes before heading out on the tour, provided us with safety vests and helmets and always kept us in sight, ensuring that we were not falling behind or having issues. We thoroughly enjoyed our first ebike experience!

Great Support!

Rob was super helpful. First, getting us fitted out and on our way. Very patient. Then when some riders decided to stop early, Rob came to collect them along the route and then met the rest of us at the end point. Bikes and gear were first rate. Only downside was the route itself, along the banks of Lough Derg. Few good views because of hedge rows and homes, and heavy traffic whizzing by the bike path, even on a Sunday.
