Guided Bicycle Tour: Golden Gate Bridge Twilight Tour

Summary Description

The tour begins at the beautiful Aquatic Park in Fisherman’s Wharf. The mostly flat National Park Bike Path will take you through Fort Mason, the Marina, and Presidio National Park on your way to the iconic Golden Gate Bridge. Along the way, our local guide will share entertaining and education information with you, including the history behind the bridge! Our tour guides are also excellent photographers and will capture great shots of you with the Golden Gate Bridge in the background.

You’ll cycle partway across the Golden Gate Bridge on the sidewalk, then turn around and return to San Francisco to explore more. As you return through the Presidio you’ll pass by the Walt Disney Museum and the Lucasfilms headquarters, where you’ll see a quirky fountain that features Yoda from Star Wars. The tour continues to the Palace of Fine Arts, then returns back to the original starting location. In case you want to explore more on your own after the tour concludes, you are welcome to keep the bike longer! Your Twilight Tour also includes an all-day bike rental.

Your bike comes fully equipped with a helmet, lock, bike bell, handlebar bag, rear rack for bags and purses, custom city map and detailed route suggestions. The tour is approximately 12 miles (19 km) and lasts between 2.5 and 3 hours, including informational and photo stops along the way.

About operator:

Bike the Bridge! At Blazing Saddles Bike Rental and Tours we want our guests to come away from a day on our bikes feeling as if they have just experienced the very best that our city has to offer. Whether it is a local resident enjoying our state of the art equipment or a visitor seeing the city for the first time, we encourage our riders to enjoy the bike friendly environment of San Francisco. Blazing Saddles was one of the first in the industry to develop a proprietary map of suggested routes and points of interest, and we have been a major pioneer in promoting cycling through the Presidio National Park, over the Golden Gate Bridge and into Sausalito and Tiburon. All of our seven locations in San Francisco have easy access to a car-free bike path that winds around the city by the bay. We have the largest fleet of bikes in San Francisco, including state of the art electric bikes, tandems and kids' bikes. We also have high performance road and mountain bikes for those who want to explore Golden Gate National Recreation Area and Mt. Tamalpais State Park. We rent bikes 365 days a year and are open at 8am every day. For those that want something more, we offer a daily tour with a friendly and knowledgeable guide. No reservations necessary.
