Guided 3-Hour Hiking Adventure to Ieranto

You will be walking from the village of Nerano down to the Bay of Ieranto and back, visiting the grounds of the F.A.I. (Nationale Trust) with its open museum area, the watchtower above the bay and the beach. The hike is approx. 6kms with some steep rocky stretches downhill there, uphill back.

This hike is one of the most picturesque and spectacular in the area taking you down to the famous beach of Ieranto through the grounds of the F.A.I. (National Trust). You will walk up to the watchtower, visit the site of the open museum where the old quarry was and the beach. This area is a protected area and part of the Punta Campanella Marine Reserve. Even Syrens can hike!

Travelers should have a moderate physical fitness level
Comfortable shoes with a good grip (trainers or hiking boots) are essential, walking poles useful, in hot weather hats, sunscreen and lots of water. There will be time for a short swim in good weather, so if interested, towel and costume. There are no changing facilities or toilet facilities.
