Why take this tour?

Visit the Basilica of Guadalupe in Mexico City, one of the most visited Catholic sites in the world. During this tour, we will visit the Temple of Guadalupe, popularly known as “La Villa” or Basilica of Guadalupe. It was built in the 17th century by the architect Pedro de Arrieta, and receives some 20 million pilgrims annually.

The Virgin of Guadalupe in Mexico is not only a religious symbol, it is also part of the Mexican identity. In all Mexican homes and in many others in Latin America, the Virgin of Guadalupe is worshiped. With his national holiday on December 12, he receives great importance for considering his four appearances to the Chichimeca indigenous Juan Diego Cuauhtlatoatzin on the Tepeyac hill, and on one occasion to Juan Bernardino, Juan Diego’s uncle.

Due to its influence on Mexican culture, visiting the Basilica of Guadalupe is essential, whether you are a believer or not. In addition, these stories are collected in documents throughout the world, from historical documents in the Vatican to different writings by other religious places. Her presence in Mexico is such that numerous audiovisual works have been dedicated in her name.
