Great Ocean Road Twelve Apostles Day Trip from Melbourne

The tour departs from Melbourne early in the morning, around 7:35 AM from our main meeting point of Immigration Museum. The bus will be waiting on the Market St side of the museum to safely board customers. We do offer alternative pickup locations which are prior to our main departure time from the city.

The drive is approximately 3.5 to 4 hours one-way, with several stops along the way to take in the views and enjoy photo opportunities. However our tour itinerary is approximately a 13 hours journey, as we include several stops along the way to maximise the highlights along this famous coastline.

Child fare prices apply from 0 to 12 years old. Infants aged 0 to 4 may be able to join select sightseeing tours, though some day tours may not be suitable due to the terrain or duration. A child ticket is required for infants, as they are included in the head count. Child safety seats can be requested at the time of booking, subject to availability but are not guaranteed. We are not obligated by regulations to provide child safety seats. Please note our vehicles do not have the storage to accommodate prams or strollers, these must be left at your hotel or accommodation.

We ask that guests travelling on day trips bring small day packs and hand luggage only as we have limited storage onboard our vehicles. Suitcases and large backpacks must be put in storage at your hotel or bus station lockers prior to boarding our vehicles.

We operate this tour with an average of 35 people onboard, our fleet consists mainly of 28-seater or 38-seater Yutong Coaches. These vehicles are designed for safety & comfortable on long journeys (air-conditioned), with large passenger windows for unobstructed views and USB charging ports. It is possible that the trip will be conducted in a larger vehicle on rare occasions, based on demand.

A low level of fitness is required to complete the walks on this tour itinerary.

There will be some walking at various stops, including the Twelve Apostles viewing area. The walk is relatively easy and suitable for most fitness levels. If guests have mobility issues we ask that you notify us at the time of booking so we can try to accommodate accordingly.

In the event of rain or inclement weather, your travel experience will still go ahead, unless contacted by the provider. This tour would only be cancelled in extreme weather conditions, whereby it’s not safe to travel along the Great Ocean Road.

While kangaroos and Australian koalas can be found in the bushland along the Great Ocean Road, it is essential to note that sightings cannot be guaranteed as they are wild animals.

Participants are permitted to bring food and snacks on tour. There will also be plenty of opportunities along the way where we stop and can support the local businesses by purchasing beverages or meals there. We do recommend brining a refillable water bottle on tour.

We typically return all guests to their original pickup point. Alternative drop-off requests may be accommodated with prior arrangement, but cannot be guaranteed.
