Stop at Gibbston Valley Winery for a tasting inside its spacious wine cave—the largest in the country—then continue to two more wineries for tastings and a gourmet lunch paired with fine wine. After your meal, head to Old Cromwell, the site of New Zealand's largest gold rush, which occurred in Central Otago during the 1860s.
