Alain is awesome
The tour was great thanks to Alain. He was entertaining and informative regarding Iceland’s history, folklore, country facts, and even sang to us (has a wonderful singing voice) a couple of Icelandic songs. There was a snafu at the beginning of the tour as a bus broke down and our tour was combined with another group. But we still had enough time at all the sites and Alain made the tour fun for everyone.
Great full day tour
Andrea was our tour guide and did a fantastic job. She was informative and energetic. She even sang us an Icelandic children’s song when the radio wasn’t working for a short period of time. Highly recommend.
Small group tour golden circle
A few memorable moments on this tour - sitting in the hot springs water with light rain coming down; Alain, our guide singing Icelandic folk tunes to us on the bus; seeing the spray float up from Gulfloss waterfall. It's a well planned day, very safe for solo travellers and can highly recommend.
A fantastic way to see the Golden Circle
A great tour, made better by an excellent guide--Peter--and sunny weather. A highlight was Laugaras Lagoon, a beautiful, new (year old) lagoon that provided a stop in the middle of the trip (rather than at the beginning or end of the all day tour), which was a welcome break. I'm sure the lagoon will at some point become a standard stop on everyone's day-long Golden Circle trip, but we had it almost to ourselves. Peter was informative and entertaining throughout, the transportation very comfortable, and the tour well-organized. Several tours were combined in our case (for example, some did the Golden Circle with Sky Lagoon option), so a few brief extra stops were made to accommodate everyone, but as it was our first time in Iceland, the extra scenery was worth a few extra minutes driving time! We've taken small group tours like this in a number of countries and cities around the world--this was among the best.
