Why take this tour?

The “Gem of the Island tour” takes you on an eco-friendly journey through Sint Maarten/Saint Martin where you will ride along beautiful coastline, as well as travel through the center of one of the most multicultural islands of the Caribbean. Starting from Philipsburg, you’ll meet your guide and get an introduction to cycling in St. Maarten on your Trek Hardtail Electric-Assist Bike. After a short-sustained climb, you descend to the charming Oyster Pond Bay, a quaint residential area situated on a lagoon shared by the Dutch and French sides of the island. You will continue, crossing from the Dutch side to French St. Martin, along the eastern coastline, where you’ll have the opportunity to see magnificent views of the rugged Atlantic coastline and our neighbouring island of St. Barths. Your pedaling will soon bring you to Orient Beach, the island’s most famous beach, referred to as “The pearl of the Caribbean” where you will have time for a cold drink and a refreshing swim.
