Why take this tour?

Go on an adventure with us to Fagradalsfjall, the active volcano that started to erupted in March 2021. Located only 40 minutes away from Reykjavik, it is in the Reykjanes peninsula. During this tour, you will have the opportunity to witness an active volcano in the Geldingadalur valley. On those grounds, the last eruption took place 900 years ago. To reach the volcano site and have a good view of it, it will be needed to follow to take a short hike of about 3 kilometers. The walk is moderate and will not take longer than 1 to 1,5 hours for each way. The hike has a portion that is a little bit steep but manageable until we reach a plateau to have an overview of the fresh lava field and see the crater from a distance. Once there, you will have the time to enjoy the view, take pictures and videos while following all the safety instructions given by your knowledgeable guide. Book hassle-free with us!
