Meet your group and guide in central Rome. Then, take a short train right to the medieval town of Sermoneta. This town is one of the most preserved medieval towns in all of Italy. See tower houses, a cathedral, and the Caetani Castle, which was built for the Annibaldi family in the early 13th century.
Stop for a delicious lunch at a local restaurant then head to the Garden of Ninfa, which is known to be an inspiration for many artists and writers, such as Virginia Woolf. The storybook-like setting puts your mind at ease as you take note of the beautiful scenery. The garden has 1,300 plant species that grow among the remnants of a medieval village. See a few waterfalls and bridges as you walk around. Plus, bamboo, cherry trees, irises, and California poppies will sneak their way into most photos you snap.
At the end of your tour, head back to your original point of departure in Rome by train.
