Your 16-hour day trip to Rainbow Mountain starts bright and early with a 3:30am pickup from your Cusco hotel. The day begins very early in the morning, but the trip is well worth it. Plus, numbers are limited to 14 people on this small-group tour, ensuring you'll spend an intimate day with a small group of like-minded explorers.
Your drive from Cusco takes about three hours, so sit back and relax. Before your hike starts, stop to enjoy a light breakfast. Afterward, your guide and small group sets out on the 3- to 4-hour hike to the mountains.
Once you make it to the summit, rest a bit before admiring the stunning views of the mountains. The mountains get their name from their beautiful rainbow-like coloring. Take all the photos you’d like, and then head down to lower altitudes where you can stop for lunch.
Your driver will be waiting for your group and guide at the trailhead. Hop back into your vehicle for a 3-hour drive to your Cusco hotel. You’ll get to your hotel sometime between 6:30pm and 7:30pm.
