Drive to Basavanagudi to visit Nandi Temple, famous for the hulking granite bull statue that is carved from a single piece of rock. Walk over to nearby Dodda Ganesha Temple to view the Ganesha statue that stands 18 feet (5.5 meters) tall and 16 feet (4.9 meters) wide.
Hop back in your vehicle to go to the 9th-century cave temple Gavi Gangadareshwara Temple, a fine example of Indian rock-cut architecture. Head over to Venkataramanswamy Temple, which dates back more than 300 years ago and has walls adorned with the figures of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva.
Next up, visit the Hare Krishna's ISKCON temple, which is located at Hare Krishna Hill and rates as one of the largest ISKCON temples in the world. If you like, you can purchase a vegetarian lunch at one of the cafeterias within temple complex.
The last temple of the tour is the Art of Living International Centre, situated on top of the Panchagiri Hills, 15 miles (24km) to the southwest of Bangalore. Have the option to attend a meditation sessions or take the Ashram bus tour if seats are available.
