Get picked up at your hotel in or near the Cape Town city center. Climb into a private vehicle with your personal guide and head out of the city. Take in the pretty harbor at Hout Bay, teeming with colorful fishing boats. Browse for handmade souvenirs to bring home from craft markets. Soak up the sun on the beach. Choose an optional cruise to Duiker Island (own expense) on a glass-bottomed boat to see a colony of Cape fur seals. Take the scenic route along Chapman's Peak Drive as it curls along the coast. Head for Cape Point and the Cape of Good Hope Nature Reserve to see local wildlife and some of the most dramatic coastline views. Hike to the lighthouse atop Cape Point. Stop at Boulders Beach to see the colony of African penguins that make their home there. Get a chance to see these wild birds up close, including their nests, without disturbing them.
