Start with 9am pickup at your centrally-located hotel in Nairobi, then travel to the Nairobi National Museum for an hour-long guided tour of the museum's most important exhibits. You’ll find displays covering Kenyan cultures, paleontology, and more, and get a good introduction to the region’s fascinating history.
The next stop is the African Fund for Endangered Wildlife, often called the Giraffe Centre, where you’ll learn about giraffe conservation efforts, and see some of the centre’s resident Rothschild's giraffes, an endangered species with a beautifully distinctive coat.
Pause for lunch at a local restaurant (own expense), then spend the afternoon spotting wildlife on a four-hour game drive through Nairobi National Park. Watch for some of the zebras, lions, gazelle, rhinos, and other animals living within the park’s boundaries, and keep your eyes out for the hundreds of bird species that migrate through the grassy plains, dry forest, and valleys each year. This portion of the tour is ideal for photographers, as the plains of Nairobi National Park are especially dramatic with the backdrop of Nairobi’s downtown skyscrapers.
Following the game drive, this 9-hour Nairobi tour concludes with drop-off at your hotel.
