Start the day with morning pickup at your hotel in Da Nang, then travel to My Lai. Pause along to way to see Chien Dan Cham Tower, a fascinating remnant of the Champa civilization whose intricate carvings and architecture are half covered in foliage.
Upon arrival in My Lai, visit the village’s pig market, where you can get a personal look at daily life in the modern-day community. My Lai became a symbol of the brutal war in Vietnam after photos of the massacre were released in 1969, and it remains one of the largest civilian massacres by American forces in the 20th century. You’ll have time in My Lai to meet villagers, and walk to the sites of the 1968 killings. Visit the My Lai Massacre Museum to see artifacts from the attacks, including photos, documentation, and personal items belonging to some of the victims.
This full-day My Lai tour concludes with return transfer to Da Nang, and drop-off at your hotel.
