Summary
Your fishing adventure starts in the morning when you and your guide will travel to the best Huchen fishing locations on the Sava Bohinjka River. Fishing will take place throughout the day, with breaks for snacks and refreshments. At the end of a successful day, the fisherman or fisherwoman with the biggest catch pays a round of drinks to toast to the new Huchen King.

Sava Bohinjka springs from Lake Bohinj, Slovenia’s largest natural lake. Besides being home to all Grayling varieties, the Brown and Rainbow Trout, the Sava Bohinjka is fantastic for catching Huchen. An occasional Chub is also known to drift from the lake downstream. Most of Sava Bohinjka is easily accessible and its alternating cascades, pools and sandbanks are a fly-fisherman’s dream.
